The etiology of my own kininess fascinates me. Some folks also enjoy that kind of interior inspection, others are indifference.

Sir Henry Sumner Maine, in “Ancient Law” (1861), puts forward the historical thesis that human history is a progression from status to contract. This is an elegant way to say that in the earliest days, people lived in a feudal society; you were either a slave or a master, by caste or heritage. Though a large number of “masters” were themselves subservient to greater masters, there was always a very large group of serfs at the bottom of the pyramid.

Maine’s idea is that we progressed toward a recognition of social equality and replaced the aristocractic command of class with the quid-pro-quo of a contracat or agreement. In many cases, of course, the trade-off was that the powerful allowed the weak to continue living, in return for submission, but there still had to be an agreement in place. Today (by the time the book appeared 150 years ago), literal slavery is replaced by wage slavery — paving the way, evidently, for Marx and that lot.

The point here is that BDSM is a nostalgic throwback. By mutual consent, we contract to undertake a status relationship. Female domination, specifically, adds in the elements of chivalry. Males voluntarily climb from their knightly mounts to kneel at the feet of their Ladies and proclaim their irrational devotion. The Ladies agree to accept this unreal activity, and even to reciprocate the submission with domination. Without care, the cycle may gyre out of control, and this is the problem we must guard against.

For that reason, no Lady [Domina, Mistress, Goddess] should ever lose Her temper or control. That is not to say that She may not be cruel: that is part of the delicious reciprocation. But it is never appropriate for a Lady to *demand* submission or to *scream* Her commands to Her slave. SHE IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL so does not need to raise Her voice.

In practice, there is only one rule on each side of the ledger: Mistress will command. Her slave will obey. Period. End of rulebook. All the rest is understood and implied: Mistress will be responsible for the continued existence of Her slave property, by not requiring of it anything permanently harmful. Her slave, however, will trust Her never to give any injurious commands. And because She is in control, She never commands or orders: She needs only to state the simple truth: “you will do this…” and it is done. That is true power!

Ideally, if the male is doing its part of the contractual bargain — or is playing its role in the conotrived status relationship — it begs its Owner to allow it to serve. Pleads for permisson to prostrate itself at Her feet. Like the haughty Lady Eleanore in Hawthorne’s short story “Lady Eleanore’s Mantle,” the kind Mistress replies, “When men seek only to be trampled upon, it were a pity to deny them a favor so easily granted — and so well deserved,” and humiliates Her suppliant with very little mercy indeed.

Mistress, the perfection of self-control, never has to demean Herself with gratitude; rather, She expresses satisfaction with a job well done by Her slave. Her highest praise it to say that She is pleased; whereupon it is the slave’s cue to thank *Her* for the priviledge of serving. If She ever says anything instructive, it is “you may bring me…” or “I need a…” or perhaps “there is a speck of dust on My toe…”

Likewise, when a slave fails to meet expectations, Mistress is *disappointed” — not “angry” — because She knows that slaves are inferior and thus incapable of reaching the level She has a right to deserve. Nonetheless, it is Her duty to punish a slave that fails to please Her. She must (as part of the status of Ruler) teach the imperfect one to do better next time, to aspire to a greaater level of achievement. Thus the whip, the flogger, the riding-crop, applied at once and memorably. While the slave may scream in pain during the punishment, it completes the cycle eby thanking Her for the correction — probably by kissing the whip, Her haand, or most likely, Her booted feet.

When a slave actually does please its Owner, it is to Her advantage to say so. Not with “thank you” but with mild praise: “you have pleased Me, slave.” Again, the response is gratitude from the slave for the honour of serving successfully, and, silently, for Mistress having taken the trouble to train Her slave by “whipping it into shape,” as it were. Once more, the situation suggests the image of a naked slave flat on the floor licking the boots of its Lady Owner.

Thus the whip is used for discipline, to teach the slave to do better. But it may be that for whatever reason, the Lady enjoys exercising Her authority and power over Her property. She may simply enjoy flogging Her slave for Her own amusement. This is not kind, this is not generous, this is not fair or democratic — because Her relative status carries none of these factors. If torture for fun pleases the Owner with the High Status, then submission and suffering are the logical lot of the slave with the low status — that and, when the Owner has tired of Her amusement, boot-licking gratitude once again for the honour and of serving through suffering. Pain, She will say gently, is My gift to you, My slave; thank You, Mistress, the slave will respond in turn as She slowly slides the toe of Her boot toward his waiting lips and tongue.

In defense of the hearts of dominant females everywhere, I as a true male submissive have a few things to say to those who are only playing silly sex games.

More, and more I hear people talking about FLR, LFA, DD, D/s, F/m spanking, FemDom, and simular lifestyles. To introduce myself, my wife re-named me “beautiful” eight years ago. My wife runs the household, I do what I am told to do. My Mistress respects me, and treats me well though, she will punish me when she feels that something I have done is deserving of punishment. Our D/s relationship is not a sex game, it does not exist to fulfill my fantasies, and I do not want it to. I want to please her, to serve her, to pamper, and cherish her, I did not ask my wife to dominate me so that I could then “top from the bottom.”

I see the blogs all over the web written by guys saying they desire to be dominated by a female. Actually, at times these really touch a nerve with me. Why? Well, what most of these guys want isn’t to serve a dominant lady. These guys are mostly living in the realm of daydreams fantasizing about being spanked by a beautiful woman. The thing is, they look at a spanking as only a foreplay scenario. they dream of leather clad vixens with whips, they feed into the imagry of BDSM, and the allure of the unknown. These are such ordinary fantasies. Have these males ever taken the time to understand the needs of the lady they fantasize about being dominated by? Come out of your fantasy world, and wake up to the realities of what it truly means to serve a dominant woman. How are your cooking skills guys? I can chef up whatever my lady desires whenever she may desire it. She needs feminine items, guess who gets to go to the store? I’ve become an expert at massage. Why? To please my Mistress. These rules were written by a male. These “rules” are all about his fantasy, not hers.

Request punishment when you deserve it? Requesting punishment in itself lets me know that this isn’t a list a female dominant might come up with. Slave Collars: Symbol of Power Exchange

(Suggestions on selecting collars. I don’t remember where I got this.)

Now, regarding collars my favorite is that kind of training collar that have those spikes that are intended to dig into the neck of the poor unfortunate dog. But I modify it heavily, as I don’t find the original design to be that conductive for Safe bdsm play. Consequently, I modify heavily: First of all, I remove the choking part. This makes the rest of the collar too small, so you will need additional links (eg by buying an additional collar and cannibalizing this for parts).

Secondly, I cut the choking part up to free the attachment for the leash. This is then put added to one of the spiked links.

Third, I turn the collar inside out in order to get the spikes on the outside. The resulting look is in my opinion rather stunning. By inserting and removing links, you can get it as tight or loose as you want it. Do experiment.

Now, from the choking part you can get a short piece of chain with a ring in the middle. This can form the center piece of another collar: Buy an additional length of plain chain with a ring at both ends. Cut this in two halves. Join the the resulting three pieces together with small key rings.

You wear this collar thus: Wrap it twice around the neck of the sub, and pass a very heavy padlock through all three rings. The reason for passing the padlock through all the rings is that you eliminate the possibility for a choking effect in this way.

A note on the padlock: get one of the kind that has the key-hole on the front face. I find these to be the most visually stimulating.

A note on plating:

You can get these things both nickel and chrome plated. Many people have problems wit nickel allergy, thus I alway buy mi toys chrome plated. You can distinguish the th two from each other by the look: the chrome plated kind is more reflective / luster (which is another good reason to buy this variety).

The Dominatrix Bitch Stereotype

don’t think there’s anything incongruous about being nice/fair/laid back and being domly. I don’t think it’s necessary to be bossy or bitchy. It’s fine if that’s how one is or how one likes to play, but if that’s not how one is (or likes to play) I don’t see any reason to put that persona on.

Bitchy just isn’t my style (which is not to say I don’t get bitchy, it’s just not a scene or d/s dynamic I enjoy – it’s the “bad day at work” kind of bitchy). In my first domly experiences I thought bitchy/cruel/demanding was what doms were, and I tried to be that, but it just made me uncomfortable. I’m generally pretty laid back. I found out pretty early on that fellows who like to be forced or who had a “cruel dominatrix” kink were not good matches for me. It did shake my nearly-nonexistent confidence in my domliness that so many fellows I met had this kink, and I just wasn’t comfortable going there. Thing was, if I was with a guy who wanted me to be the bitch-dom or who wanted me to force him to submit, my desire to be domly with that guy just evaporated. I started seriously questioning whether I was domly at all. It felt right in my head, but it sure wasn’t working out that way in actual practice.

Along the way I met some fellows who did not have the kink for force or “cruel dom”, and things started to gel. I discovered that there were fellows out there who responded well to my style, and that willing (even enthusiastic) submission pushed all the right buttons for me, and with these guys I was very domly indeed.

IMHO, seeming dour, supercilious or bitchy isn’t better. For the record, in my experience dominants who act like domineering assholes don’t represent what enlightened dominant men and women aspire to be. Most of the dominant women and men that I’ve seen at play parties or at the conventions, etc. seem to all be trying to be nice, like I am. They reserve their bully behavior for private scenes in the dungeon, as do I.

I do not let myself get pushed around. I’m fully capable of taking command, and I often do it with a smile on my face. That’s my style. I like to play with people who like my style, so I act like myself instead of some stupid porno stereotype. This way, if they don’t like my style, they know right away to stay the hell out of my life.

I’m not a bully, I’m not a whore, I’m not Xena, and I’m not royalty on holiday. Acting like any of these feels very phony to me and I won’t be doing it. Besides, it’s not necessary to ever be posturing. Plenty of tops never do it and they get along just fine.

There are lots of subs who seem to think a dominant should act bossy all the time to be believable, but they’re clueless. Don’t let ignorant subs pressure you into playacting for them. If you want to be theatrical because that comes natural for you, then that’s different. I get theatrical when I play, but I certainly don’t live that way.

Standard Positions for the Obedient Submissive Male

GREET. This would be the most common of positions and usually non verbal. Toy would meet You as You enter and kneel before You with knees outstretched kissing Your feet and removing Your shoes if applicable. The variation on this is if Mistress and slave have just entered toys abode from outside toy would then (as soon as Mistress moves off) be expected to strip and put on the cuffs and offer himself to Mistress in the WAIT position.

SERVE. The only way to serve something to Mistress. Toy kneels before You with knees wide and offering the item with arms extended and the head and eyes lowered until You take it.

CRAWL. On hearing this command this slave drops to his knees and crawls to You, kissing Your feet then lowering this slaves head to the floor between Your feet wiating for Your next command.

PRESENT. There are two versions of this from the one command. If this slave is standing when it is spoken, toy is to immediately stand with legs apart and with hands clasped behind the head, Thus exposing him for Mistresses inspection/use. When slave is kneeling slave is to lean back on the heels and again clasp hands behind the head. In both instances toys back is to be straight, head erect and eyes downcast and remaining that way until released.

WAIT. This is a position where slaves kneels in front of Mistress with knees widely spread resting oh heels with back straight. Toys head is erect with eyes downcast but the hands rest upon the thighs palms up.

WORSHIP. This position is used when slave wishes to show Mistress the subservience She deserves. Toy kneels with the knees spread but lowers the head to the floor. Arms are widely spread and toys palms are on the floor.

[1]Male Slaves are considered as the lowest form of life on this planet. Every
other living thing has a higher rank than that of Male Slave. A Male Slave’s Mistress

[12] Male Slave has no privacy.

[13] Full-Time Male Slave will give itself a daily enema while under its
Mistress’s supervision. This will serve as Male Slave’s allotted daily
defecation. Session Male Slave is required to arrive at its appointment,

[14] Full-Time Male Slave is granted permission to relieve its bladder three
times daily, at 8 am, 4 pm and Midnight, provided Mistress is awake. If
Mistress is not awake, or Male Slave is not being used as described in Rule 15, no
bathroom relief shall be granted. Session Male Slave will not be permitted to
relieve any bodily functions during an appointment.

[15] When Full-Time Male Slave is in use, Male Slave must remain within 3 feet of its
Mistress’s side, at all times. “In Use” is considered to be anytime Mistress
is home and awake. Session Male Slave must remain in sight at all times.

[16] When not in use, Full-Time Male Slave will reside in its cage, where its
arms and legs will be shackled, and tethered by its balls with a rope or
chain.

[17] Full-Time Male Slave will be displayed as such when Mistress receives guests.
No effort shall be made by Male Slave to cover up or hide its lowly status from
others. Male Slave is required to undertake all hostess duties, and provide
enough food to satisfy two servings, per person, per each dish made. Male Slave
will also provide all refreshments, and offer its mouth as an ashtray for
those guests who smoke.

[18] Male Slave shall regularly be tested for Obedience, to ensure proper
compliance.

[19] All orders given to Male Slave must be obeyed immediately, without
question, and without hesitation.

[20] Male Slave shall assume any position when commanded. Positions are as
follows: (A) “Inspect”- Male Slave will stand, legs spread apart to its

“Wall”- Male Slave will stand against nearest wall, hands clasped tightly behind
its head, and arch its body out as far as possible so that only its elbows
and heels are touching anything solid. (F) “Relax”- Male Slave will drop
facedown to the floor, then raise itself off the floor and arch its back as
high as possible, with only fingertips [not entire hands!] and tips of toes
touching the floor.

[21] When Male Slave is not being commanded, it will sit on the floor, hands
wrapped around Mistress’s ankles.

[22] Full-Time Male Slave will be locked into a chastity device at all times,
and permitted to cum only as Mistress sees fit. SessionMale Slaves may or may
not be kept in a chastity device, dependent upon Mistress’s desire. Male Slave

varying things, including, but not limited to, urination, pain, and

[27] Male Slave will immediately apologize, and request forgiveness of any
wrongdoing.

[28] When Male Slave is answering a question or commandment, Male Slave must reply in
as few words as possible. Male Slave will always end each sentence with either
“Sir”, “Mistress”, or “Mistress [insert name here]“.

[29] Full-Time Male Slave will be fed twice each day, 7 am and 7 p.m. Meals
will consist of whatever Mistress deems appropriate. Session Male Slave will be
fed if an appointment lasts longer than 9 hours. Male Slave can refuse any
meal; however, each refusal of a meal is punishable by 25 additional
lashings. Full-Time Male Slave will also receive a 36-hour fast of any food or
drink.

[30] In the case of sickness or death of anyone in Full-Time Male Slave’s
immediate family, Male Slave will be notified immediately and granted a
temporary Bereavement Leave of all household duties and allowed to join its
family, with Mistress’s supervision. Rules 3 – 5, 7, 10 – 14, 19 – 24, 27 -
29, 31 & 34 will still apply. In addition, no effort will be made by Male Slave
to cover up or hide its lowly status from others. In addition, Male Slave’s
safeword will not apply to this situation, nor will it get Male Slave out of any
service during Bereavement Leave. Male Slave must always remain within sight of
Mistress. There are no exceptions. Any and all punishments earned during
Bereavement Leave will be given immediately upon return to full service.
All “off-duty” time accumulated by Male Slave during its reprieve will be added
on at the end of its service, and tripled.

[31] No refunds for Male Slave servitude will be given, for any reason,
whatsoever.

[32] Full-Time Male Slave agrees to a minimum mandatory 90-day contract, as a
trial period for both itself and Mistress. If during that time Male Slave does
not wish to continue service, or if Male Slave’s service is deemed
unsatisfactory by Mistress within that time, servitude will end on the 91st
day. If Mistress agrees to keep Male Slave longer, a new contract of no less than
six months will be signed and agreed upon. Each subsequent contract
renewal will carry an additional three months. For example, if Male Slave
passes the 90-day trial period, and the following six-month contract, the
following contract would be for nine months, the next would be twelve
months, and so on.

[33] Upon agreement of becoming Male Slave, it must commit to memory a safeword
of Mistress’s choosing. The safeword will release Male Slave from any situation
where it feels it is being used too roughly. If the safeword is used,
Male Slave understands that it will be punished for attempting to defy its
Mistress, and agrees to submit to a future punishment of Mistress’s choosing.

[34] Male Slave must endure any and all punishments without speaking, swearing
